Validity & assessment consequences
EDUCONS investigates the consequences of psychological and educational assessment through a mixed-methods approach. It analyses how the consequences inherent to evaluation can impact the response processes of those being assessed, while also addressing other sources of validity evidence.
Response processes & consequences
PROC&CONS focuses on obtaining validity evidence through a mixed-methods approach. It explores how eye movements and electrodermal activity can provide relevant information about response processes and the consequences of assessment, bridging psychometrics and psycholinguistics.
Psychology meets AI
An interdisciplinary project bringing together researchers from psychology, computer science (AI and Machine Learning) and private companies. The aim is to understand the characteristics and competencies that facilitate protection against virtual threats.
Everyday moral decision-making
Belén Carrascal Caputto's doctoral research, focused on the development and validation of a scale to assess everyday moral dilemmas. Through mixed methodologies, the project studies the cognitive and emotional processes involved in moral decision-making.
Eye-tracking validation
Eye-tracking research examining item characteristics and response processes in tests and questionnaires. The project uses gaze data as an additional source of validity evidence, complementing self-report responses.
We build statistical tools, psychometric and methodological software, protocols, and measurement instruments in parallel. Methods inform what we can measure; measurements stress-test the methods. Most of our outputs ship as open code, open data, and open documentation.
