Building the methodological foundations of psychology.
PsychometricLab is a research laboratory established at the University of Granada. We design, validate, and refine the psychometric instruments that researchers and clinicians depend on — bridging statistical theory, methodology, and applied science.
Why psychometrics.
The validity of any claim about the human mind rests on the quality of the measurement that produced it. Psychometrics — the science of psychological measurement — is what makes psychology cumulative rather than anecdotal. It is what makes a diagnosis defensible, an intervention testable, a theory falsifiable.
Affiliation.
We are part of the Department of Methodology of Behavioural Sciences at the University of Granada (UGR) and of the HUM 624 research group: Modelling and Measurement of Human Behaviour, at the Mind, Brain and Behaviour Research Centre (CIMCYC).
